We’ll begin by fitting all the necessary gear and covering the basics of snorkeling. When you’re ready, we’ll hit the water for a tour through one of Monterey’s premier kelp forests. Otters, sea lions, crabs, starfish, rockfish, anemones and urchins are some of the commonly spotted critters. With our guidance you’ll be snorkeling like a pro in no time!

To get the most out of this tour we recommend some prior swimming experience. If you’re brand new to water we’ll do everything we can to make you comfortable in this new environment. Ages 10+
Tide Pooling

Our expert guides will share local knowledge, marine-life marvels and fascinating facts about our rocky ecosystem while you search among the rocks and enjoy the fresh coastal air.

We’ll explore the giant tidepools at one of Monterey’s most dynamic beaches. We’ll search for nudibranchs, sea stars, abalone, crabs, and other interesting intertidal species. We’ll find something you’ve never seen before!

Skill: Requires only a curious mind and a love of intertidal wonders! Don’t be afraid to get your feet wet. Ages 3+
Discover SCUBA

Includes SCUBA gear package and instructor.

We’ll start with fitting the dive gear and discussing the fundamentals of SCUBA diving. We’ll get you comfortable on SCUBA with an in-water orientation. Once you feel ready, we’ll submerge into the underwater world. On the dive you’ll experience Monterey’s breathtaking kelp forests home to huge variety of aquatic organisms. With our leading instruction you’ll learn what its like to have gills!
This expedition requires ideal ocean conditions. Scheduling can vary.

Basic swimming skills and good physical fitness are recommended. If you are not comfortable in water we recommend booking a snorkel tour first before jumping into this experience. Ages 12+
Surf Lesson

Includes surfboard, wetsuit and instructor.

We’ll fit you for a wetsuit and complete a surfing crash course on the beach. When you’re ready, we’ll jump in the water and help you catch your first waves!
